Editorial Policy
TapSpec separates source evidence, planning assumptions, and product claims so you can see what a recommendation can—and cannot—tell you.
Evidence before equipment
Symptoms can suggest questions, but they do not confirm contaminants. Use a utility report, an appropriate laboratory result, or public-health guidance to identify a concern. Match the exact product model and certified performance claim to that evidence.
Sources and assumptions
Guides link to public-health agencies, utilities, certification resources, and other named references. Calculator costs are broad planning benchmarks with stated assumptions, not live local quotes. Check the source and its date before relying on a changing claim or price.
Independent choices
This release contains no paid rankings, sponsored placements, commissioned links, or provider introductions. Informational links are included for reference, not as an endorsement of a purchase or provider.
Corrections
Send the page address, disputed statement, and supporting reference to hello@ascendantsystems.net. Corrections to a tool or guide are reviewed before publication.
